1 yeast cake
1 cup Crisco shortening
5 cups self rising flour
2 tbs lukewarm water
2 cups buttermilk
2 tbs sugar
Dissolve yeast in warm water
Sift together dry ingredients
Cut in shortening
Add yeast and buttermilk
Knead enough to hold together
Refrigerate until needed
Roll out and cut
Bake at 420 degrees for 20 minutes
