Fried Green Tomatoes

1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup corn meal
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp pepper
3 green tomatoes, sliced 1/2 inch thick
cooking oil

Combine flour, corn meal, parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper
Coat tomato slices with flour mixture
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat
Fry tomato slices for 2-3 minutes per side until tender and lightly browned
Drain on paper towels and serve immediately
